Alison Chan MScPT
Alison achieved both her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Physical Therapy from UBC. She has experience working with a wide variety of clients including pre-and post-natal women, neurological disorders, sports injuries and seniors with mobility issues. Prior to pursuing her physical therapy degree, Alison worked extensively on falls prevention research as well as studies on how physical exercises can improve memory in older adults. Her approach to treatment involves working one-on-one with clients to educate them about the root cause of their injury so as to prevent reoccurrences in the future. Alison is certified in Gunn-IMS (Intramuscular stimulation) and acupuncture (CAFCI). She has also completed post-graduate training in vestibular rehabilitation, manual therapy and soft tissue techniques. Outside of the clinic, Alison can be found chasing her two kids around the playground, cycling around this beautiful city in search of her next favourite restaurant or planning her next big adventure near and far.

Judy Chiu
JJudy holds a Master of Physical Therapy and a Master of Public Health from the University of British Columbia. Prior to becoming a physiotherapist, she worked in health research with a focus on pharmacoeconomics and decision sciences. She also works at Queen’s Park Care Centre, an inpatient neurological rehab hospital (strokes, spinal cord injuries, brain injury) and with the BC Brain Wellness Program, supporting individuals with chronic brain conditions through exercise-based interventions and mentorship of kinesiology students and staff.
Judy is passionate about helping clients better understand their bodies and feel empowered throughout their rehabilitation journey, whether their goals relate to daily activities, work, or sport. She takes an evidence-based, individualized approach to care, integrating manual therapy, movement re-education, and therapeutic exercise. Judy is committed to going above and beyond to ensure every client feels supported and confident in their care.
Outside the clinic, Judy is a long-term volunteer at Canuck Place Children’s Hospice and enjoys staying active through volleyball, running, tennis, skiing, and learning to golf.

Stephy is a trained Club Pilates Teacher. She is in the Comprehensive teacher program which is a 500 hour training program that focuses on Joseph Pilates foundations in addition to new Pilates technique and apparatuses including the Reformer, Mat, Chair, Cadillac, Spring board, Special Population, Anatomy, Spine Corrector, and TRX. Stephy was involved in a lot of different sports throughout her life but it wasn’t until she found Pilates that her mind set for exercising changed. Pilates not only brought her joy, but it also changed her body in ways she never knew. It has given her a new sense of the mind- body connection and a release from her own chronic neck pain. During the pandemic, Stephy saw a lot of people dealing with health and mental issues. With the knowledge she has gained through Pilates, she is motivated to help clients achieve better body alignment and strength, prevent injuries, and develop a balanced lifestyle. Kyle Madarieta
Kyle completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology and is currently pursuing his Master of Occupational Therapy at UBC. He has several years of clinical experience working as a kinesiologist in rehabilitation and occupational health settings. In his previous work experience, he worked with individuals recovering from concussions where he addressed vestibular, oculomotor, and autonomic nervous system impairments. He also has experience in occupational health assessments, functional movement screening, and return-to-work rehabilitation for a diverse group of clients. He is passionate about helping clients better understand their bodies and regain confidence in their movement following injury. Tara McCormick
Tara earned a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta in 2009, after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia in 2005. She is certified in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation and holds a Diploma in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy. Tara has been a member of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy since 2016.
In 2018, Tara completed her Level 1 Clinical Pilates certification through Calibrate Education and is currently working toward her Level 2 certification. She also serves as a Teaching Assistant for the Calibrate Level 1 Certification program, where she supports the education of clinicians in movement-based therapy and the integration of Clinical Pilates with manual therapy in rehabilitation practice.
Tara’s interest in Pilates and movement-based therapy developed from her background in dance. She was a competitive dancer throughout her adolescence, which sparked her long-standing interest in movement, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. She has extensive experience treating sports- and dance-related injuries, particularly among adolescents and young athletes.
Throughout her career, Tara has treated athletes across a wide range of levels, from recreational participants to elite and professional competitors. During her master’s program, she assisted in the treatment of international and NHL-level athletes. She has also been part of the medical staff for the Vancouver Stealth in the National Lacrosse League and worked with both the junior and senior teams of the Langley Thunder.
In addition to sports injuries, Tara has a strong interest in treating complex pain conditions, hypermobility, pre- and post-partum patients, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Catherine Murray
Catherine came to Pilates following her career as a dance artist and arts administrator. It has been a natural transition to take her love of movement and the details of the human body and relay those to her clients through Pilates. Catherine is a fully certified STOTT PILATES instructor having completed her training at Full Circle Studio in Vancouver, and she has been teaching for the past 7 years. She has also completed training in Pain Reprocessing Therapy which provides tools for dealing with chronic pain based on the latest neuroscience research. Her goal as an instructor is to help others connect to their bodies and find more range and ease of motion to take into daily life. Catherine earned her BFA from Toronto Metropolitan University in 2005, followed by her MFA in Choreography from York University in 2013. Her graduate degree research focused around using contemporary choreography as a tool for social change. Catherine is a Co-Founder of Project: Humanity – an arts/theatre organization that uses the arts to raise social awareness with a strong emphasis on community service. She ran the company with her partners for eight years in Toronto before stepping back when she moved to Vancouver. Catherine has over 15 years of teaching experience in a variety of forms and environments. Ed graduated from the University of Alberta Master of Science in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (Distinction) programs. During his studies, Ed worked as a personal fitness trainer and coach with the City of Edmonton and the YMCA of Edmonton. He has completed his CSEP-CPT, and YMCA Individual Conditioning Level II, and brings a solid background in general health and wellness. Ed has worked in multiple settings including acute care, long-term care and private practice. His areas of interest include myofascial releases, dry needling/acupuncture, concussion/vestibular dysfunctions and functional strengthening. Ed is consistently advancing his education and skill set. He has completed both level II upper and lower quadrant manual therapy components and acquired his G.T.T (Gokavi Transverse Technique) and Acupuncture certificates. Tracy Wong MScPT, BASc, CGIMS, CAFCI
Tracy completed her Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Alberta after obtaining her Bachelor in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University. She has also completed post-graduate courses in a variety of manual therapy techniques, connect therapy, and is certified in both acupuncture and Gunn IMS (intra-muscular stimulation). Tracy incorporates her clinical expertise in combination with education and exercise prescription to assist clients in achieving their goals.
Tracy is certified to teach the GLAD exercise program (Good Living with Arthritis Denmark). She offers group based exercise programs for client’s living with Parkinson’s and for the geriatric population.
